I have used pantene before, and while it was not my favorite shampoo, I never had any hair loss. There is nO wax or plastic in it its just a shampoo like any Other you've used before.

I have only used Pantene for a year now and for a few years in conjunction with other shampoos. At first it worked well getting tangles out of my long hair and leaving it smooth. Then it became smooth but really dull rcently. And last week it became thoroughly coated! I tried getting the basic Pantene to scrub it all out, leaving out the conditioner and it made it worse after washing three times in one shower and thereafter. The product DOES coat your hair and build up. Now my hairdresser can;t even get the stuff out with three scrubs with their best clarifying shampoo. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT FOR TOO LONG!

Pantene is fine to use on hair every day. Consumers in the UK will notice that Pantene has recently changed it's product lines and improved the formulas-so now washing your hair with Pantene will give you even BETTER RESULTS! Ignore all the urban legends about Pantene products causing build-up or hairloss. Pantene is regularly voted the most popular shampoo in magazine polls and thousands of women (and men!) buy and use this brand across the world every single day without any problems or ill-effects. The new Pantene Classic Care shampoo is fantastic as it offers advanced cleaning and conditioning for all hair types with it's exclusive new formula. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone and also use the Classic Care conditioner as well, or just the 2-in-1 combined shampoo/conditioner on it's own. Good luck!

I have very thick, natural African-American hair. Normally, my hair withstands hell, highwater and any and every attempt to keep it straight. One month ago I bought Pantene Pro V Relaxed and Natural shampoo and conditioner. I was very happy the first time, feeling the softness of my hair while still in the shower- even though I noticed that once I finished styling my hair it wasn't as soft as I would have liked, and my scalp became quid dry, quickly. Because of my scalp I washed my hair more often than I had before. A few days ago, I closed my eyes and gave myself a scalp massage after getting home from work. I brought my hands down and opened my eyes, and large chunks of hair were sitting in my hands. The next time I washed my hair I paid more attention and realized how much I was losing. Upon inspection, huge patches of my hair have broken off, right at the root. If I didn't already have a lot of hair I probably would have noticed right away and would have stopped using this horrible, toxic product. Now I'm going to have to down multivitamins and hair growth supplements, and invest a bunch of money in products that will repair the damage that Pantene has caused. In addition my scalp keeps getting dryer. I HATE this product and what it has done to my appearance! It's going to take at least a year to fix!
