Keira Coos:
I looooove you guys. Thank you for helping me understand all the lies in the beauty business. :) I am really thinking about going out and getting the Neutrogena® Advanced Solutions? Acne Mark Fading Peel. But I really want to know if it will work, or will I get ripped off once again?

The Right Brain Crafts A Comeback:
The Acne Mark Fading Peel is one of several products in Neutrogena’s Advanced Solutions line of acne care products. It uses Salicylic Acid (2%) as a standard acne fighting ingredient. Sal Acid is clinically proven to reduce acne, so at the very least this product will reduce acne marks by stopping the acne from forming in the first place! But will it do anything to get rid of acne marks you’ve already got?

We can’t be sure without testing, but the product does contain ingredients that can exfoliate skin and when you exfoliate you strip off some of the dead upper layers and increase the production of fresh layers from below. So, depending on how severe your acne marks are, there’s a good chance that this product could help. Some of the product reviews we read said that it worked miracles; others said it didn’t do squat.

The Brains‘ Bottom Line:
Based on reviewing the ingredient list, it looks like Neutrogena’s Acne Mark Fade Peel could help reduce the appearance of acne marks. But we didn’t see any indication that the product uses any kind of breakthrough technology that would really make a difference. If you decide to give it a try please let us know what you think of it.
