I own a Lingerie Boutique myself and have been told by the companies that I buy from to instruct customers to not use Woolite. I was told that it breaks down the elasticity in bras. When I decided to try and get some more answers, I found this blog. I haven't found any "real" answers. My suggestion for washing delicates is to hand wash. You do get what you pay for in this business, and the last thing you want is to ruin your new bras. If washed properly, they WILL last a long time. Lingerie wash is what I always suggest because it's so gentle and smells wonderful (and it doesn't have to cost a fortune). Ours sells for $6 and lasts forever. Someone mentioned a bra ball and I think that is a fantastic idea! Won't bend the wires or smoosh the padding.

Hello! I was just trying to find an ingredient list for Woolite myself for the exact same reason! I had been "warned" (or "instructed" depending on your point of view) to not use Woolite on some lingerie I was purchasing. I was given the excuse that it contains some form of plastic-type chemical, which will get into the fabric of my lingerie and wear it out much faster. So I succumbed and bought some of "their" detergent. I'm not sure what to believe.
Must say that it's pretty crazy that what we use and will come in direct contact with our skin (laundry detergents) is not governed the same way as foods, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics.
BTW, this looks like a cool blog--I'll check it out more. Glad to find such a resource!
