Our Distorted Perception of Beauty

We don’t know if this is posted on the other beauty blogs yet but if you haven’t already seen it, it’s VERY worth the click.

It’s a short time lapse movie that shows how an average looking woman (complete with average blemishes) is transformed into a stunningly beautiful, airbrushed model for a billboard advertisement.

This is staged by Dove as part of their “Real Beauty” campaign, but still it’s impressive to see how they digitally alter this woman’s neck and eyes just to make her more “attractive.”
