I have very fair skin. And the oils mentioned in this article do make my skin feel smooth to the touch but, they also cause A LOT of ingrown hairs (the kind that cause large unsightly bumps and have to be removed - leaving a scab). I'm going to try grapeseed oil.

Every one is different. I have the dryest most dehydrated skin you could imagine. . I've only met a handful that were AS dry as mine & I've never met any 1 w/dryer skin than mine.
If a product doesn't have those ingredients in them I wouldn't have any skin.
Those products above w/the exception of the silicone, r wonderful for my skin.
The thing about those products is that they will either seal moisture in or out. If u put them on wet skin, straight out of shower, & let ur body dry naturally, they will seal the moisture IN 2 the skin.
If u put it on ur skin while it's dry, it'll seal moisture OUT. Remember putting vaseline on a baby's butt 2 keep it from getting diaper rash? U put it on their butt dry & when they wet their diaper it was a barrier 2 keep his butt dry. Of course I'm not saying that u do that instead of changing their diaper, but, even if the baby sits in it's urine 4 a few minutes, his skin will get irritated.
As far as silicone is concerned, I can't use ANYTHING w/silicone in it It makes my skin & hair lk like I took a blo torch 2 it. I'm so glad I stumbled across this site just 4 the information about Cyclopentasiloxane being another form of silicone.
I live in Florida & the humidity is horrible most of the year. I've been going blind reading labels ever since I learned that silicone does to some others what it does 2 me; looking 4 any thing w/"cone" in it. Only 2 find out now that silicone comes w/a bunch of OTHER names 2!
There r a LOT of ppl out there that LOVE & swear by silicone products, but 4 me ugh. Does any 1 out there know of any hair products that r good 4 dry frizzy hair that DOESN'T contain any form of silicone?

Hate to say it, but the first 4 oils are basically the worst oils for your skin...BAD BAD BAD...coconut is awesome tho, the other 4 could be replaced with Rice Bran Oil, Grapeseed, Rosehip, Olive, Almond, Jojoba and many others... They are not just great moisturisers, they are also great cleansers too (oils remove oil and dont make the skin go into over drive producing oils that have been removed from harsh cleansers clogging up the pores even more) OMG...what shocking advice!!!!
I make my own products now, or purchase MooGoo.

Wow Kathy Rundle! Thanks for that information. I did not agree with BeautyBrains posting that petrolatum and mineral oil are good for your skin and I am glad you rose to the challenge by providing evidence that those substances are not the best for our skin. I avoid products with petrolatum and mineral oil because they simply don't work for my skin. I make my own moisturizers now that work so much butter, healthy people around the world have been doing this since the beginning of time.

I read somewhere in some oprah publication (or somewhere LIKE that) that by the age of 50, a female needs a good moisturizer, which should be worn daily to prevent and treat wrinkles. Luckily for me, a co-worker in my office recommended the Shielo Complexion Moisturizer.

The Shielo Moisturizer is a great price for the quality of the ingredients, and I though "why not?" .
I tried many expensive creams. Nothing works like this one, just try for 1 month at least and you will see how your wrinkles get thinner and thinner.

I use it every other night on my forehead, after I noticed very fine lines criss-crossing my forehead. After one month, I noticed the fine lines on my forehead are completely GONE. My face looks 25 years old again. Amazing. I'm going to tackle my eyes next...
