I had my lash extensions removed yesterday and I am
sure its not my imagination, but they really are shorter and stubbier than before! I’ve tried lengthening and volume enhancing mascara but all that seems to do is make them look more hideous and clumpy. I just don’t know what to do. Has anyone got a happy ending concerning the regrowth of their own lashes after extensions?!

Yes, it does have to do with which brand that you use. First of all, whoever paid $350.00 for a full set and lost them in 1-2 weeks that is ridiculous and you should feel ridiculous for not saying anything about this to the salon. Normal extensions should last 3-4 weeks before a fill and you should still have 60-90% of the lashes still intact at this time. It does not damage your own eyelash b/c *growth* occurs in the follicle, not on your eyelash hair shaft. HOWEVER, If you did put stress on the extension or even had them removed by the professional it does cause stress on the hair and can cause them to break and be thinner UNTIL those lashes have shed and your new ones have come in. That said, a NORMAL (it could be longer) eyelash life cycle is 3-6 weeks, after these 3-6 weeks your eyelashes will be back to normal, hence that fact that Cynthia thinks Jan Marini works. It worked because your own eyelashes have now grown back to their full potential. That is like saying you’ve cut your hair and now it won’t grow as long as it was. You have to give it TIME, your eyelashes have been damaged if removed improperly. I do not even like to remove them for my client because of the damage it can cause. You can use something that counter-acts the glue which in every company is DIFFERENT, to remove them over the course of a few days. Please read into what your saying before you go saying things that can be easily disputed.

Oh man Ive just cancelled my 3rd top up appointment due to the fear of what Ive been told, hopefully my lashes will be ok, I will have to let them fall naturally and look stupid but rather this than risk them being pulled out at salon. My techician told me that dont damamge you as your eyelashes naturally drop every 45 days but Im wondering now whther this was true.

Eyelash extensions no matter how much you pay or how skilled the technician DO in fact thin and pull lashes out! There is nothing natural about placing glue between lashes to adhere extensions. A steady regime of this will pull lashes out, clog follicles and leave you lashless. I got the lesson the hard way and am praying that GOD will restore my lashes despite my foolish vanity in getting them in the first place. If He in fact answer my prayer, I will work with what he has given me and not question or insult his perfect design again!

I was really thinking about getting eye lash extensions, my friend has them and they look so dope..She said knowing how hard it is to have them, she would do it all over again.Hers are so beautiful and she has had them for a few years now.Considering she has a friend who does them for her for half the price every time…with that said she told me, don’t get them! They are to expensive and you have nice lashes and it will ruin them. Just for a small sec I kinda thought maybe she didn’t want me to be as gorgeous as she was so i found this web sight and I’m so happy i found it before i ruined my lashes..turns out she was right according to all the horror stories on this sight..Thank God I still have my long healthy lashes.I was so close to calling my friend to make an appointment just to try it,just to now for my self. I’m so happy I didn’t…thanks to my good friend and these stories. Thanks for the help.
