Aaron is Anxious:
I’ve recently gone and experimented with fake eyelashes since they seem to be the new trend. The shop where I got them guaranteed they would stay on for at least 3 weeks. It is now 4 ½ weeks later and I have begun trying to remove them myself, and I am noticing that it is pulling out my own natural eyelashes.
1. Is there a better way to get them off?
2. Am I doing permanent damage to my eyelashes?
3. If not how long will it take for my own eyelashes to grow back?!?!?
The Right Brain Reassures Her:
1. First, you should not have to pull the eyelashes off, especially if you’re using a brand like Lavish Lash or Peter Louis. You should apply a material that will loosen the glue (like olive oil). Massage it on the eyelashes and wait for a couple of minutes. The oil will help remove the glue and the eyelashes should peel right off.
2. No, you are not doing permanent damage to your eyelashes. At worst, you are “plucking” the hair out of the follicle and it will take extra long for it to grow out (about 4-8 weeks).
3. Eyelashes grow at about the same rate as hair on your head (1 cm a month) so it could take up to 8 weeks for them to grow back completely. (And before you ask about eyelash growth products like Jan Marini, go read our previous posts on the subject!)

Begun at 8pm with baby oil & Qtip, absolutely no result, the ones that did come off, came off with ten of mine. Problem was she used to much glue, I honestly thought I would never get it off, I even call in sick to work. Then, I read a comment where she used ACCETONE, I was hesitant but desperate so I did it, AND THANK GOD BECAUSE BOTH LASHES CAME OFF, with a little effort because it burn like hell, since I had already irrittated my eyes with the baby oil. I WILL NEVER GET THIS DONE AGAIN, IT IS STUPID AND ABSURD TO GO THROUGH THIS MUCH PAIN. I’m going to learn to do the peel off one and be done with it. Now I’m on my way to put Neosporin on. Thank you SHEMARIE!!!!
Oh and I finished at 11pm. Don’t know why the comment posted as if it were 9:14pm?????????????
Well ….started talking eyelashes off with eye lash remover last night nothing ……tried the fragrance free lotion nothing …..tried baby oil ….finally some results ….still hurt though …..and took about an hour …convinced that based on where u went…..what type of glue and how much glue determines the outcome when u remove them ….looked lovely with the eyelashes ….but not worth the pain taking them off ….have noooo eyelashes now so until the grow back forced to where the strips that I will take on and off everyday !!
i had fake eyelashes put on. the therapist then advised me that this should be the last lost of individual lashes i should get for a while or they would not grow back. i have also just removed them nothin worked apart from piping hot water.olive oil n baby oil never worked.
The people who are getting them removed with oil and water etc are the lucky few who had good quality glue used. The rest of us, bad quality and yes we are going to have clumps and pain and probably lose all our eyelashes. We should be getting them professionally removed and we would not have any problems, but why make it so easy?
I have tried the oil, the compress. I have even stood over a pot of boiling water to try to loosen the glue with steam! Eventually I just used tweezers to peel the fake from the natural taking quite a bit of natural with the fake. Clumps of glue left in what little eyelashes I had left. I left it like this for days and finally I used a q-tip with some nailposih remover and carefully applied a little to the lash, let it sit for a couple minutes and wiped over again with the q-tip supporting teh lashes over my finger. It’s working, not like a charm, but working. I have eyelashes left thank goodness but no long ones. I will never do eyelash or hair extensions again, did I mention I am trying to remove my hair extensions as well?
Good luck ladies
How do you get your lashes to grow back??? Never want “falsies” AGAIN!!!
Had my eyelashes put on individually…first time no allergic reaction at all. This time they have been on for 2 days and are driving me crazy, itching and swelling under my eyes. Gonna ring salon today and get them to remove them. I will be buying a decent mascara in future..no more false lashes for me, I,ve learnt my lesson. P.s. Dont know which glue they used but its very strong!!!!!!
OMG Vanessa and Laura you guys are too cute.. I have naturall good eyelashes but these days i really want to get the fake ones..but after reading how painfull it is im not sure.. I hope you guys are OK lol we’ll see what happens (:
I got my lashes done at salon today, she really rushed them and when she showed me the final result i could have cried she used the black glue and they are really clumpy and look terrible, i am going on holiday tomorrow so i am devastated i tried to use baby oil to no avail and have made one eye look even worse if that was entirely possible, i am going to a different salon in the morning to see if they can remove them for me…..here’s hoping xx
Hey guys, i had individual fake lashes applied yesterday afternoon with the black glue around 4pm and i was fed up with them by 8pm last night. They were irritating and actually quit sore to touch etc. This morning I woke up and just looked in the mirror and thought..EUGHH get these off me now!! However, the glue was rock hard and i honestly didnt think anything would take these bad boys off! So i did a google search and found this thread on how to remove them. Read through about 15 of your stories and decided that the olive oil method seemed to have proven popular with a lot of you guys! I triedit out myself and I have to say it has worked wonders so far, i have removed half of the lashes from both eyes with minimal struggle by rubbing olive oil over the top of the lashes where the glue meets my eyelid and then using tweezers (squeezing them shut) i gently rubbed over the glue clumps to loosen them and bring them away from my eyelid. I did this then gently pulled on the lashes, before repeating the same process 2 or 3 times, eventually the lashes will just come away from the eyelid and slide off your own lashes, I have pulled out a few of my own but barely any! This has proved to be a very good way to remove them, just be careful and ensure to hold a tissue or piece of kitchen roll under the lashes while rubbing on the olive oil so that none goes into your eye. I definitely recommend this method of removal though, good luck and happy lash removing!!

I finally found a method that works for me: took about 5 minutes and it wasn’t too painful and I lost 6 of my own lashes in total…
Let me start with my experiences:
1) I have had them done 3 times in the last two months at my local asain nail salon, and each time I have had a different tech doing them. They all used the black glue. The 1st and 3rd girl were careful, precise and thorough, while the 2nd girl was sloppy, used to much glue which caused hard clumps at the lash line. So the technician’s expertise is a big factor in getting good/safe results.
2) The fumes from the glue does cause minor tearing and burning. It was uncomfortable but definitely do-able. It was comparable to chopping an onion. My tech provides me with a small hand-held paper fan to wave at my face during the process. This definitely helps. One more thing about the application process, and this is important- As mentioned, the fumes do cause some irritation. Take the time to dab at the corner of your eyes and wipe the tears and use your hand/fan to wave at your eyes during the whole procedure. The 2 techs who did mine and did a good job would hold my eyelid up and apply the individual lashes as many as they could do before my eye started tearing again (about 4-5 clumps) and they would let me stop, rest my eyelid by looking down (but DON’T close your eyes since they will get stuck together), dab the corner of my eye and fan them until I was ready to go on, usually about 30second break. The sloppy girl who did a terrible job would hold my eyelid up and open for up to 4-5 minutes at a time while she applied the lashes. This caused my eye to fatigue (imagine not being able to blink for 5 minutes) and as a result, my eyes were tearing constantly through the whole procedure. What she did not inform me (she probably didn’t know) is that the salt from your tears mixes with the wet glue and forms a hard, plastic material. This plastic scratched my eyes everytime I blinked. It took me cutting the offending plastic piece out of my lashes with tiny manicure scissors before I got relief. When I went in the 3rd time, that tech told me its better to take a longer time doing them with more breaks in between than trying to rush thru it to avoid the hard plastic shell clumps at the base of your lashes.
3) Removal: All 3 techs told me the lashes would last 2-3 weeks. They can actually last much longer, except that as your own lashes go thru their natural growth cycle, the fake lashes start to look crazy, crooked and just weird. Unfortunately, they are still VERY FIRMLY attached. My 1st time, I just assumed they would come off, and they did not! I ended up soaking them in warm vaseline and trying to rub them off, but I managed to rub off pretty much all of my natural lashes, while the fakes ones were still in place. After 2 hours, I just pulled them off. I was left the stingiest bit of lashes I had ever seen, hence the need to go back a 2nd time. The second time around that I needed to remove them, I used the tiny manicure scissors to cut thru and break up each hard plastic clump, but I still lost a lot of lashes because of the plastic clumps. The 3rd time, I actually did a lot of research. The lashes stayed in about 3 weeks before they started looking weird, and I knew it was time for them to go. Based on my research, I knew that any oil or petroleum base wasn’t going to help. No olive oil, no baby oil, no crisco, no Vitamin E, no vaseline. That got me thinking that the “opposite” of these things are the acetones and alcohol products. I pulled one of the clumps out, poured a little bit of 70% alcohol into the cap, and soaked the glue clump in it. Within seconds I could see the glue dissolving. I let it soak about 45 seconds and then touched it and squeezed it with my fingers. The clump of plastic glue had dissolved into a black jelly. I now knew what would break it up, but the thought of soaking my eyeball in 70% alcohol was scary scary SCARY. If I used a cotton ball or a Qtip, the acohol would just run right down my face, or worse leak into my eye, no matter how tightly they were closed. I need some sort of gel, that could stay in place on my lash line and not leak too much into my eye. I thought about it some more, until finally it hit me! GEL HAND SANITIZER!!!! I got the little bottle out of my purse (99 cents at the dollar store) and read the label. Active ingredient: 62% ethyl alcohol. I squeezed a dot onto a Qtip, ran it in a line over my eyelash line (my eyes tightly closed) and worked it into the lash line with the Qtip. I let it soak for about about a minute, then used the same Qtip, spinning it with my fingers down the length of the fake lashes, putting emphasis on the base where the glue is. They LITERALLY slid off. Feel the lash line with your fingertip and once all the clumps are off, rinse your eye thoroughly with cold water, then on to the next eye. I checked each lash clump to see how many of my own lashes came off. Between both eyes, I lost 6 lashes total. And yes, some of the gel leaked into my eyes and it burned, but it was by no means intolerable, especially since it went so quickly. I would compare it to getting soap in your eyes.
I love the look of the falsies. Now that I can remove them with minumum damage, I will probably wear them all the time.
Good Luck!
@Wendy, thank you so much for the tip. Tried the hand sanitizer which worked like magic!
I think once you find a good False Eyelash Glue it is easy to apply the lashes! xx
Have been crying all day due to the loss of my lashes from this black glue from hell!!!
. Ive tried everything mentioned…olive oil…baby oil…ardell remover…vaseline…rubbing alcohol…(scared to try acetone)nothing works…almost all of my lashes have been ripped out now! They were even bleeding!
. I had nice lashes before, I don’t know why I did this!!!
I used baby oil gel to remove them and they came right off! The baby oil gel didn’t burm or irritate my eyes. I massaged the gel into my lashes and waited about 2 hours. Massaged again and they came right off.
OMG I’m sitting at my desk laughing hystericallly at all the comments about trying with no avail to remove fake eyelashes. What makes this even funnier is that I’ve had these stupid eyelashes on for over two weeks and they still have not fallen off like the stylist said they would. I tried the olive oil and it didn’t work. Slowly a few of the eyelashes have fallen off and i’m sure they have held onto some of my real eyelashes as hostages. Now I have only a few single fake eyelashes left but they are clumped up at different sections across my eyelid making me look absolutely crazy. But it’s my fault because I had perfectly fine eyelashes and I was just too darn curious. NEVER again will i screw with what I already have. Good luck trying to remove yours.
The only thing that worked for me with that awful black glue was Acetone. Olive oil and a hot compress took off only one lash in 3 hours. After the fifth night of the horrible scratchy feeling of too much freaking glue on my eyes, I went for it. I used straight nail polish remover on a qtip, held my eyelid closed really tight and rubbed the glue-y part between the qtip and my fingertip. It does not happen quickly, but it will happen with patience if you keep rubbing. To get them all off it took a good 2 hours, but finally i am free! But be warned, this will definitely irritate your skin a little bit, and acetone near the eyes is probably dangerous. Anytime i felt any burning nearing the inside of my eye i rinsed like crazy with saline and water, before starting again. And afterwards i thoroughly washed my whole eye area with a face soap and water and then used excessive moiusturizer to prevent further skin irritation. But on the plus side i’ve kept pretty much all of my own lashes. Good luck. And use the temporary strip adhesive from now on, its so easy to take off, and will totally work for a day or two with single lashes.
I got my eye lashes done a couple of weeks ago and after waking up this morning and finding some missing and going in all directions i decided to take them off using olive oil and tweezers. big mistake!!! I am now bald,in pain with swollen eye lids and worst of all proved my husband right! who told me over and over that it would be a mistake!! Im now getting the I told you so looks in between between his out bursts of laughter!!!
I dont even know why I got them done. I have long eye lashes. Not particularly thick but long. Now I look a state and am having to wear false eye lash strips untill they grow back. I hope to god they will grow back.
I would advise not to get lashes as the salons are happy enough to put them on but have no interest in taking them off.
I am a complete idiot. I had individual lashes lash year and had a HORRIBLE experience. I had an allergic reaction, lost almost ALL my lashes, had extreme swelling, went to an eye doctor, and was prescribed Latisse (which worked GREAT while you use it).
Last week, I was dumb enough to try lashes again :_( The woman assured me she uses a different type of glue [that doesn't contain Cryon? (crazy glue)] When my eyes started itching, I knew it was time to remove the lashes, but nothing has worked. I tried baby oil, vaseline, olive oil, hot compresses, make-up remover and even a few dabs of hand sanitizer. I’m headed to the store soon to buy the lash remover.
So far only 2 clumps of lashes came off and there were approx 7 of my lashes stuck to the glue :_(
UPDATE: I tried the lash remover and it helped somewhat. I was so frustrated I “CAREFULLY” dabbed polish remover on a huge clump of glue (with a cloth under lashes/over eye). I finally got the lashes off without losing too many lashes. I got another Rx for Latisse and will stick with growing my own lashes!
I am sorry to hear that all these girls had such horrible experianced and no one told them anything about taking these fake lashes off. I wen thru the same darn thing a few months ago but loved the look so i went back again..I know, i know..but when i went back, I over heard these two ladies talking about baby oil. After 3 weeks when my fake lashes started to loosen, i got my baby oil gel out, rub some on it and it came off like no one’s business. No Pain. Wow!! I was like, why no one told me this before! OMG! It is so easy and painless. Make sure it’s baby oil GEL. It works so well, you’ll love it. No stain, or pain. I’m sorry it took me so long to get this information out too.
I recently applied Ardell Individual Eyelashes myself. I was so happy with the way they looked. They looked great, didn’t bother me, made me feel better about my appearance… I followed all the care instructions – sleeping on my back, avoiding water, etc…Day three of having them on, I was cooking a pizza and singed my eyelashes when I opened the oven door. My lashes quickly looked like trianchula spider legs. My new found lash-happiness was ruined instantly. I used the Ardell Individual Eyelash remover, which worked for the most part. There were a few stubborn extensions that decided to take a few of my natural lashes as a parting gift… as to be expected, nothing can be easy. Next time I will try all of the suggestions I’ve read on this blog to remove them.
WARNING:
For those who still have their false lashes, and intend on keeping them. AVOID HEAT OR OPEN FLAMES!!! (Ovens, Campfires, Hot Steam, Etc…) Unless of course you prefer to have 4 lash clumps going every which way on each eye.
I had to post on here for a few reasons!
1) I was victim of the black glue nightmare. Completely clueless at the time, had no idea of the ramifications. Look was superb but the comfort was very scratchy and uncomfortable… I was thinking “Wow! Girls so this in the name of beauty? OK! Suck it up girl!”
As the lady was applying the lashes, I was also thinking “I can do this!”. So, I did some research and came across some GREAT tutorials on youtube about applying individual lashes… It was here that I heard (on a number of videos) that previous eyelash-adhesive users were now using hair bonding glue (yes, weave glue!). 30 mins more research and I decided to give it a go. I went to sally’s and bought lashes and bonding glue ($4 for largest bottle).
Here’s the interesting part. The lady who applied the lashes (yes, asian nail bar!) left a few gaps on each eye (not noticeable til you spread the lashes). I decided to “fill-in” with my new lashes and new glue. Two days later, lashes were SO IRRITATING that I was desperate to get them off (despite them looking GREAT!). Tried EVERYTHING. Baby oil, olive oil, facial steam, hot damp cloths, eye make up remover and finally acetone nail polish. The winner?….. A combination: 2 mins of a very warm damp towel (to loosen glue), then a combination of acetone nail polish (on a Q-tip) and a large cotton pad soaked in baby oil. I CAREFULLY held the Q-tip to the glue portion then, in a downward motion, went Q-tip then oil pad. Worked in about 20 mins. I was slow and careful. Lost very few lashes. Total experimental time though… 3 HOURS!!!!!
HOWEVER, despite this HORRENDOUS ordeal…. I put 3 flare lashes on with the bonding glue. Not only did they stick perfectly they also came off with the first round of baby oil… before EVERYTHING else. I was so impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, despite the black glue incident being truly awful, I’m not against lashes. I’m applying Ardell natural lashes with the weave glue tomorrow and am so excited! Not only will they look great and hold but I know they will come off VERY EASILY too!!
My advice, either go to the places that charge $200 a set or try them yourself with weave glue. I was VERY skeptical at first but it works a CHARM!
Good luck!!!
Sorry, I also need to say that bonding glue is latex based which is soft and rubbery (not hard and itchy like the black glue). So, as long as you DON’T have a latex allergy, give it a go for comfort reasons too! (I also apply my lashes UNDERNEATH my real lashes for a more natural look so a rubbery feel was light weight and MUCH less irritating than the painfully crunchy glue!)
I wanted to update since yesterday.
This morning I applied Ardell Natural flare lashes myself using weave glue. They look AMAZING (took me about 45 mins… first proper attempt!) and feel completely weightless. No itching, scratching. AMAZING. A friend of mine said that once with weave glue is fine but not to use it regularly as it can weaken your eyelashes over time. She told me to use DUO SURGICAL ADHESIVE. Said it has the same soft finish and great hold and is also very easy to remove. So, I ordered some in black (instead of clear) today and in a few weeks, will reapply my lashes with DUO. I’m excited. Especially if they feel as amazing as the ones do now! Can’t believe I ever had the scratchy black glue… so embarrassing!
Ughhh I’m so mad I did this to myself I’ve been trying to get these damn things off for 2 days. Yes ladies the black glue is indeed weave glue Smfh weave glue on Ur eyes. My eyes were swollen the very next day after getting them. They hurt so bad I could cry
I got a small tube of eyelash remover when I had mine, I’m thinking it’s oil – something… Smells weird, very oily! Anyway, tried removing mine last night and they’re still on. They are one big lump of glue, they weren’t stuck to individual lashes they were glued to all my lashes. I’m going to try many types of oil and a hot compress to get mine off and think it will work with patience. Hoping I don’t have eyelashes missing though, feels like a vicious con. Come in with eyelashes, leave looking fab, end up looking weird having eyelash alopecia and having to go back for more… It’s quite distressing as I have to work with the public and the pain to remove them seems to much, but as someone already said, the compliments you get are almost worth it!!
Hi,
Please help i want to remove my false eyelashes. i have gone to different stores for the removal but they havent got the gel(eyelash removal gel). Is they any home remedies you can give me? i’m desperate -this is turning out to be ugly!!!!
Ladies the only thing that works is ACETONE.Oils do not.Try nail polish remover(not acetone free)
I was thinking of putting on the lashes but from what I read I think I change my mind.
I got mine done yesterday, its 4:15 in the morning now and i slept early lastnight because of my eyes watering. I can see the black glue and it hurts to even blink. I have a wedding to go to today I’m about to go to the salon to get it removed. I dont recommend this!
i thought i was d only 1 sittin tryin 2 get these things off wit 2 days 2 no avail i tried baby oil and vasline but no good i am goin 2 give d olive oil a try now and c how it goes wish me luck ill let u no how i get on
Don’t get these done. I am certifide and im telling you NOT to do it. They will make your lashes fall out. I could get into lost of terms etc… but I wont. I had them myself and I lost lots of my lashes. They will grow back but take aweeks to do so. I bought latisse. And its worked wonders! There are possible side effects. I know its nice to wake up with gorge lashes but ladies, save your time, money, and lashes! Use the strip lashes or individualts but with duo adhesive glue or any glue for false lashes. Its annoying to have to pit them on everyday but atleast yours wont fall out.
Hi All, I also made the awful mistake of getting lashes done in thailand. They used the horrid black glue and I felt like I had metal spikes attached to my eyes. It was a complete nightmare and just looked dreadful. I spent 2 hours trying to take lashes off using nail polish remover, it was painful and dangerous. DO NO DO IT – the next day I went to a reputable eye lash salon and had them removed professionally. I still have all my eye lashes, thank god! Please everyone – I advise you to go to a salon. Its really not worth the stress or harm to your eyes. I will NEVER get eye lashes put on again.
Be safe!
I normally don’t comment on any posts but this hit home!! I would NEVER recommend individual lashes to ANYONE!!! I finally removed all of the lashes from my lids after trying for a whole week!!! My eyelids are very sore & I have bald patches where I’m missing lashes!!! It wasn’t worth it!!! Hopefully they’ll grow back soon!!! Not worth the trouble!!!! PS- I still have this hard glue stuck on my eyelashes!!! I have no idea how I’m going to get that off!!!!!
NEVER AGAIN!! would definatly NOT recommend!! After 2 days the end lashes began to fall off.. by the 3rd day i just needed to get them off! overall process took about 1 and a half hours of gently rubbing, pulling, squeezing and applying baby oil and vaseline with a cotton bud.. lost about 20 eyelashes which i am not impressed with.. and am now sitting with sore eyes
if your planning to get fake eyelashes, get the temperary ones which you can put on yourself! next thing for me to try will be tinting and perminantly curling.. other than that NEVER again.
okkk i am having the same problem!! i don’t know what to do, im scared to do anything and burn my eyes or lose my eye lashes!!! someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of you are removing the eyelash incorrectly. Always do one eye at a time. Always close the eyes with piece of paper towel folded in. Then apply an eyelash remover. Only starts to take off the lashes when it starts to grow out. Put the Acetone or oil to soak on it the night before and for few minutes make sure your eyes are closed with the paper towel folded under the lashes. Never open eyes until you completely wash lashes first to prevent any of the removers to get into eyes. This is my personal experience. You have to have patience when taking off these lashes. The black glue is good because I would not want to have my lashes fall out after paying to have it done. We just have to let the lashes grows out 3 to 4 weeks first before tying to remove.
Well I just had individual lashes applied to my upper lid using the black glue yesterday and today I was ready for them to come off. So I talked with my sister-in-law, who’s a liscened cosmetologist and she told me to use baby oil and warm water. So I massaged the baby oil on my eye lashes for approximately 2 min using my fingertips only, and dipping my finger tips in the baby oil several times. Then after the massaging I used a face towel and soaked it with the warm water and began to rub my lashes and they rubbed with off with no problems. I didn’t loose any of my lashes and it was pin free. But I’m never getting fake lashes again.
I had the falsies applied for a recent wedding and Loved them they were so beautiful and considering I dont have particularly many natural lashes anyway I felt lovely! A couple of weeks later they were irritating me, my family have had some recent bad news and crying constantly wasnt helping! I attempted to pluck them out myself last night and was devastated when my own lashes were falling away with them! I decided to sleep on it and spoke to my beautician this morning who informed me of the baby oil technique. It worked a charm you literally have to moisten the part of the lash that has the glue on it, using your thumb and forefinger and leave it for about ten minutes then after that just scratch downwards to break the glue seal and they slide away!! It literally took me about 10 minutes to remove and was completely pain free, plus I still have my natural lashes in tact!!!
WARNING …. WARNING…… WARNING…….
Hey ladies I just had the worst eyelash nightmare in my lifetime .. went to to nail salon paid 25.00 for indv eyelashes was told that it would last for 7 -12 day they used the black glue …. went home eyes stared burning then swelling up so i was like maybe i should go to sleep ….woke up could not open my eye ran warm water on then so they opened…. i could not get them off for nothing until i bought the lashfree removal by ardell it works get never again will i do the fake lashes I THINK I WILL STICK TO MASCAREA!!!!
I bought some fact eye lashes months ago and still haven’t put them on.
I wanted to know more about them (how to put them on and take them off). Wow after reading what everyone else had to say I think I might just toss them out in the trash. They sound painful.
I got the false lashes and they were so cute. I had such a horrible time removing them . I tried everything olive oil, cleanser, shampoo. Finally, I went to the store and bought some hair bond remover. Then I mixed the remover with Ky warming jelly. After massaging the mixture onto my bonded lashes for about 2 hours. They finally detached.
I used a site that advised me to place my face over a bowl of steamig hot water for 5 minutes (as a facial steaming) and add olive oil ( i used gel baby oil) and it worked.

I decided to try fake individual eyelashes because of the show 10 years younger. They had them and they looked great so I did it myself with my mom and want them off. They feel like plastic. So I tried baby oil. It didn’t really work, but I’m going to try the hot water and olive oil combo tomorrow. I’m tried of trying tonight. But it has to get done because it looks weird half off and on.
best way i have found, use acetone, just make sure you shut your eyes really tight and apply it to the glue areas with an ear bud…it still burns terribly although your eyes are shut but after about 15seconds the alcohol dries up so the burning sensation stops, make sure you open your eyes only after the burning subsides..the alcohol breaks the glue..from there you just slide the fake lashes off…that simple. and the best part,it leaves no glue residue! ..not the most pain free of methods but at least it saves your natural lashes to a large extent!
I’ve got individual lashes they’ve lasted me about 3 weeks now (there suppose to last atleast 4 weeks) but one eye has half fallen off on its own. So I want to take them off because it looks funny having one perfect eye an one half bald. And theyve gone all clumpy, I’m way to scared to try olive oil incase it hurts or I loose all my eyelashes.
hi …hailing all the way out from the Caribbean! i recently put single eyelashes with the black glue done by a room mate of mine …when she first tried it on me it was burning so much we did it 3 times and finally the 4th time (which she put super close to my real lashes) worked…until i had it in for a week and decided to take it out… so i googled how to remove single lashes and found you guys’ suggestions ..nothing works i repeat nothing works!!! except ripping it out or waiting to buy some remover an quite frankly i didn’t think remover would have removed those chunks of black glue mixed in with my real lashes ..don’t ever put single lashes …unless done by a super professional it’ll be the end of ur eyes and the end of ur lashes ..i managed to save some of my lashes thanks to my sis who stayed up afta 3 in the morning to help me remove them..right now i think i look like a man thanks to single lashes with the black glue…the amount of pain i was in and still am in is ridiculously excruciating word of advice buy the simple cheap strip that comes out after a night… =(
I’ve always worried about False eyelashes. They seem terribly hard to come off and they peculiar. This has quite convinced me of it.
So,
Thanks i Guess?
