Headline #1 – Nanotechnology was used for hair dyes 2000 years ago. This is beauty science. According to French scientists, Greeks and Romans used nanocrystals of lead sulfide to color grey hair black.
Headline #2 – Women dress better when they’re less fertile.
FALSE!! Women actually dress better when they are more fertile. According to this study published in New Scientist magazine, panelists rated women in a higher fertility state as better dressed than the same woman at a lower fertility state. I’m not sure if I buy this one though. There could be another explanation.
Headline #3 – Hypnosis can help cure skin disorders. This is beauty science. Or at least that’s what this review of studies has shown. It would be interesting to get the full report on this one.
Headline #4 – Bull semen is used to increase hair shine. Believe it or not this one is beauty science. Makers of Aberdeen Organic Hair claim that the mix of proteins in Bull semen does wonders for hair shine. Now, it certainly won’t work better than silicone but Aberdeen believes in it.
Update: A couple of stories related to Headline #4. Hairdressers using the stuff to make hair shiny. And Thieves steal bull semen. No doubt looking to make their hair more shiny.

Ok Left Brain, are you telling me that the Bull Sperm answer is true just because the COMPANY THAT SELLS THE STUFF believes it??? Doesn’t that go against everything we stand for on this blog?
Come on Right Brain. Look at the way the poll was worded. It just says that it is “used to increase hair shine”. It doesn’t say that it actually works. And according to the story, it is used for that purpose.
“Acupuncture is used to cure cancer.” By your Left Brained reasoning, is that a true statement too? I would hope that we use our polls to educate and entertain our Community, not try to trick them with subtle wordplay.

I have a cousin who is serving five years in Joliet for grand theft of bull semen. This is a serious and underreported crime that is destroying our beauty community.
