Hi Braniacs! Sarah here with another product review. Today I`m talking about the Artemis Woman Heel Smoother Pro.
In case you`re not familiar with this girly gadget, it`s the size of a small hand-held flashlight. It`s got a battery driven motor that spins a little tip that’s kind of like a cone shaped, heavy-duty nail file. You just touch the spinning cone to a patch of dry skin on your foot, and ZZZZZT the skin disappears from your foot in a tiny puff of skin-smoke.
The product design is great! I liked the way it feels when I hold it, it`s very comfortable, almost like holding a brush. It`s very light weight yet feels sturdy, not like you`re holding apiece of plastic, feels like you`re holding something that`s worth something.
The controls are very intuitive and easy to use, just one button turns it on and off and changes the settings. You don`t even have to change hands to use. It looks great too, it reminds me of a waistline, very feminine and sleek. And I thought that the way they store the extra tip in the cap was very clever. The best part of the design was the way the curve of the device perfect fitted multiple contours on my foot. Mmmm.
But most of all, I love the way it worked. It gave me a warm fuzzy foot feeling. I was worried about using it because my feet are very ticklish but this didn`t tickle at all, it felt more like a massage.
It`s also really cool how I could see the skin come off and vaporize into little white clouds. That really showed me the product was working. And I was impressed that the little motor is powerful enough for callus removal as well as for just touching up little rough spots. I even used it to smooth over a small wart. (Ok, that`s gross but it really did work.)
The Heel Smoother also comes with a small jar of Topaz foot butter. There`s a lot to like here too – the buttery texture, and the the scent, a citrusy-lavendar tea tree type smell. It also made my feet feel really soft and moisturized but not greasy. I hate foot creams that make my skin feel greasy. The only thing I didn`t like about the cream is that it`s supposed to contain gemstone extracts, or something like that. I`ve talked to Lefty and Right enough to know those kinds of ingredients don`t really do anything.
So overall, I loved this thing. If you want to give your feet a smoothing treat, give it a try. It`s a little pricey, but it does what it says it will do.
