It’s hard to believe, but the very first Beauty Brains post was one year ago today. In that first post, we asked for your beauty questions – and boy did we get them!
Every single day since that first post we’ve answered questions and shared our scientific knowledge on a variety of topics. From the Jan Marini eyelash controversy and secrets behind Intimate Shaving, to the debate over animal testing and the discussion of how to get rid of tattoos, it’s been a wild ride. But through all those posts our vision for this blog has remained the same: To help make you smarter about beauty by answering your questions, by busting myths about products, and by sharing the lastest breaking news on cosmetic science.
We’ve come a long way from a few hundred readers on our original blogspot hosted site to a community of several thousand on our own hosted website. And in the next month or so we’ll be unveiling a brand new site design, complete with a Beauty Brains Community Discussion Forum!

Congratulations, Brains! Your site has also been consistently wonderful for that whole year too, and I’ve learned a ton of things that I didn’t even know that I wanted to know. I can’t WAIT for a discussion board. That’s an awesome idea.
