I think the point of slathering yoghurt all over your skin is that it's a cheap source of lactic acid i.e. an alpha-hydroxy acid.

Actually, I believe the Korres yogurt stuff is an after-sun cream, like an instead-of-aloe thing. They also make sunscreens, but they're pretty low spf.

So yeah, I wouldn't recommend trying to use it as a sunscreen. I would, however, recommend reading the bottle. This would take literally no more than thirty seconds to find out.

After getting too much sun a few weeks ago, I put some old but not spoiled yogurt on my face to soothe it. I was desperate for relief from the burn but I didn't want to use Lidocaine or something like that; aloe vera gel had no effect. I had amazing results from the yogurt and am now using yogurt at least once a week as a mask on my face and decollete' area. What a difference it has made.

I've not used it in my hair yet because I was afraid I couldn't get it all rinsed out. Now, I'm quite interested in giving that a go, too.

Yogurt is unbelievable. in india we use it all the time for people who have dry skin. Once i made some chilli paste for a dish and i forgot to wash my hand afterwards and ended up putting it on my cheek and eyelid. the only thing that helped was directly applying yogurt. however, it is much simpler to just use yogurt on your face rather than have it packaged with a million other chemicals about whose effect one is ignorant.
