5 Things You Dont Know About the Beauty Brains

by thebeautybrains on May 20, 2007 · 5 comments

It’s a tradition in the blogging world to “tag” other blogs with post ideas. Just over a month ago we were tagged by Lisa of Arizona SpaGirls with the following request, write a entry entitled “Five Things You Don’t Know About Me”. Of course, the Beauty Brains is written by an anonymous neural network of cosmetic scientists, but we thought we’d try to get the three “main” brains to participate.

1. What book is currently on your nightstand?

Sarah Bellum: Devil in the White City by Larson
Right Brain: Lovely Bones by Sebold
Left Brain: The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark – Sagan and Druyan

2. Who are your personal heroes or role models?

Sarah Bellum: My mom.
Right Brain: Estee Lauder. She’s an inspiration.
Left Brain: Jane Goodall. She proves that women can make a difference in science.

3. How do you relieve stress?

Sarah Bellum: Yoga
Right Brain: Cooking
Left Brain:
Playing the piano

4. What music do you like?

Sarah Bellum: Dance music.
Right Brain: Mary J. Blige
Left Brain: Pink Martini

5. What personal care product can’t you live without?

Sarah Bellum: Lip gloss. I think I’m addicted!
Right Brain: Sunscreen. The most important way to keep skin looking young.
Left Brain: Hair conditioner. My hair is impossible without it.

So now you know a little more about the Beauty Brains. And next, we’ll tag our good friend The Glitterati.

I think everyone should read The deamon haunted world! It’s the bible of skepticism.

I have to second the love of The Demon Haunted World. That’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. I think it’s more important now, a decade after it was written, when we have such an anti-science government.
What’s awesome is that this blog really reflects the use of logic & science, which is why i read it.
