Surprise, surprise, another celebrity is coming out with a line of beauty care products. This time it’s UK supermodel Kate Moss. She had such great success with her Rimmel makeup
and her skincare line that she’s now going to do hair care.
What’s most amusing about this article is that there is “concern from some consumers who are questioning Moss’s hair care expertise…”
Do people really buy celebrity-endorsed products because they think celebrities know anything haircare or skincare? Celebrities pay stylists and makeup artists to look good. And we’ve already seen what celebrities can look like without makeup. Celebrities also pay cosmetic scientists like the Beauty Brains to come up with the formulas. They don’t actually create them.
Unless Kate Moss has some secret cosmetic chemistry background, she certainly can’t be considered a hair care product expert (or a skin care or makeup expert either). And while everyone’s favorite pirate says she’s real smart that doesn’t mean you should make your product purchasing decisions based on it.

I don’t enjoy mainstream popculture so I wouldnt buy a celebrity endorsed product unless it was still a good price and offered something I couldnt find elsewhere. Would not base my sole decision because so and so said so. I would never buy something that Kate Moss is enforcing because she is the one who said “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”. This very body shaming and and insult to the millions who suffer and even die from eating disorders. Its now one of the proana slogans.
