Should You Wear Miniature Mammary Masks?

Shefinds.com reports that pasties are making a come back. For those of you not familiar with the concept, pasties are sticky patches that cover your nipples. In the 50`s pasties were pretty much used exclusively by strippers. But in 2007 it`s celebrities, like Victoria Beckham, using these miniature mammary masks.

How do they stick to skin?

Pasties are fabric patches coated with medical-grade adhesive, so they stick to your skin with the same kind of technology used on nicotine patches and bandages. Of course, I don`t know about you, but I`m not in the habit of applying bandages to my nipples and then ripping them off. Let`s just hope they`ve tested them on ultra-sensitive areola areas!

Are they safe to use?

Yes, but there are potential issues. Some users report irritation, rash and even blistering. Ouch!

How long will they stay on?

According to Bristols6, they`re designed to bond to your boobies for up to 8 hours. That`s enough time for plenty of sweaty, writhing dancing. Or whatever.

Are they reuseable?

Yes in theory you can peel them off, stick them to a neutral surface (like a mirror), and reapply them later. But why would you want to? Ewwwww!

Is there anything that sticks to skin better?

Funny you should ask. According to the proceedings of the National Academy of Science, researches have recently discovered nature`s strongest glue. It`s secreted by Caulobacter crescentus, a bacterium that lives in lakes and rivers. The scientists speculate that this material would make a good medical adhesive because it can stick to wet surfaces. Only one problem: they haven`t figured out how to remove it yet. OUCH!

Ok, enough science. Click here to see Victoria Beckham`s pasty covered anti-nips.

This blonde used band-aids in high school, but I was left with some adhesive strips that were pretty uncomfortable to remove.
