I”m thinking the muscle pain cream is the fake.
I never thought about it before but I bet rich people ARE more prone to skin cancer. An excess of money gives one more time to spend lounging on the beaches at exotic (but closer to the equator) locations, as well as leisure activities that get you outside like tennis and golf. I already know PLENTY of women who are addicted to tanning. And who can forget all those blown up images of the little critters that live in our eyelashes and eyebrows. Yuk!
There was a recent case of a female athlete who died after prolonged use of a muscle pain cream.
There was also a study done in Ireland that showed the affluent were more prone to skin cancer.
You know, I think they’re all true.
No, they’re not all true.
ack. please let it be the skin mite one that’s not true. I know that we have several different types, but 182????
now I feel all itchy
What you don’t like to see stuff on your skin like this?
What else is on your eyelashes?
well..I’m not rich and I live in a “exotic (but closer to the equator) locations”
I think it is the skin cancer one too. Seems affluence wouldn’t have an effect on whether or not people are out in the sun without sunscreen. I would think people with more money would be better educated and more capable financially of affording all the skin care products they need, including sunscreen. I know the muscle cream one is true, as it recently happened…and I think a person could become addicted to tanning. Let’s say I fall into the “have to have my sun fix” category myself. Sun exposure could cause a release of endorphins, at least for some people, therefore causing a desire for more and more. I think I could be guilty of this…I feel GOOD mentally and physically when I get sun every day. I sure love summer more than winter.
As for the mites….this one was a toss up for me and the skin cancer one. I know we carry mites…more than 90% of mammals carry demodectic mites in their hair follicles ( this includes humans) but as for that many species…I am a bit skeptical.
I can’t wait to read the true answer.
I love this site by the way!
well, I like *those* mites, of course…they’re kinda friendly looking. It’s just the thought of 181 other different types of their friends and relations (in sufficient quantities) that makes me a little nervous. I like the fact that we have a lot of symbiotic relationships going on between our bodies and other organisms, in general. I’m just seriously wimpy when I think about it !
