Now that I know somewhat how to read labels, and how likely an ingredient is to make me break out, I've been able to avoid "cosmetic acne" by looking at ingredients, rather than the product label. And mineral oil does not make my skin break out! I know so many people freak out about it. I’ve found that a lot of products that say “non-comedogenic” still cause my skin to break out like crazy.
