Agree with Juju, growing period sucks. But I have no choice but to either shave or wax. I’d love to use Nair, but I just can’t get over the burning sensation.

As my age goes over 50, the hair on my face grows more. I would love to find a depilatory that is gentle & works. Is waxing the best idea? If so, is there a “better” brand of this product?

Depilatories? Eeeek! (faint!) I’m getting ingrown hairs just *remembering* using them! I’m a waxer, baby! With depilatories, I have stubble at the end of the day, just like with a razor, so if I were going to depilate, I may as well just use a razor and trade the awful smell for blood instead (shiver) I’d forgotten depilatories even exist. (WHY do they still exist? Why are they preferable to razors? Are they for the fumble-fingered who *will*, guaranteed, knick themselves?)

I sugar my underarms and I get my upper lip and eyebrows threaded. Just don’t do it around your period unless you like pain.

I use Nair regularly and I use a razor for touch -ups. I’ve never waxed because I don’t want have the growing out period.The formulas are sooo much better now.
