Who knows whether they'll actually do exactly what they say(!) but I think people have to choose something that reacts well to their skin and i have found D to be really good. I really like the special cleansing gel and the daily microfoliant. The place I get them is really non-hypey too and pretty good value. What was the intense moisturizer you used? Did you use Intensive Moisture Balance? I find that too heavy and usually recommend Active Moist for my drier clients. But as for the cleansers, I have never been versed in anything that is considered a "moisture wash."
