Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Review

Most everyone should know how important it is to exfoliate your skin to keep it bright, fresh, youthful and healthy. But if you don’t know here’s a quick overview. When you exfoliate, you remove old layers of skin cells that can dull your skin, thus brightening it. I am always looking for a good facial exfoliant and I was extremely please when I had the chance to try the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit. From the Neutrogena website:

“For softer, more luminous skin today and firmer, younger-looking skin tomorrow, Neutrogena® Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit™ delivers noticeable results every time you use it. Even more effective than professional microdermabrasion, Healthy Skin Rejuvenator is a simple, convenient at-home system that features single-use puffs and the Neutrogena microdermabrasion applicator. Each puff is pre-dosed with ultra-fine crystals and mild purifiers for the perfect degree of gentle exfoliation. What’s more, the massaging micro-vibrations boost microcirculation and oxygenation for increased radiance, while surface stimulation increases cell turnover.”

The kit came with the microdermabrasion applicator, 12 rejuvenating puffs, puff attachment head, and 2 AA batteries. It was extremely easy to use. I just snapped the attachment head on to the applicator and then stuck a pre-dosed puff on the head. The directions say to massage for 1-2 minutes per facial area. Use it 3 times a week in place of your normal exfoliant.Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Review

I was given a full month’s supply of pre-dosed puffs. I wanted to get the most out of my experience and really see if there was a difference in the way my skin looked so I used it for the entire month every other day in the shower. It’s great because the applicator is waterproof. I just left everything in the shower when I was finished…except the puff that went into the trash.

My experience with this system was bittersweet. I have combination skin and this really dried out my entire face especially my cheeks. I really had to moisturize after using this. Also, I knocked down the length of time that I used the applicator in hopes of less drying. Instead of 1-2 minutes per facial area, I used it for about 1-2 minutes for my entire face. That being said, my face looked amazing and felt smoother. It was bright, clear and acne free. I felt fresh and barely wore any make-up…maybe just a little tinted moisturizer or some powder. I really love the way I looked, but didn’t love all the drying out in the process.

You can get the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator one-month starter kit for $39.99. Refill puffs are available in packs of 24 for between $18-$20. If you go to the Neutrogena website and register you can get a $5 off coupon for the Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit and a $3 off coupon for the refill puffs.

Used this product for first time. Face became red. I hope redness goes away. Next time I’ll just use 1-2 minutes for entire face.

I will let you know how it works after I use it the next time.

I purchased one last Sunday and noticed results with the first use, I absolutely love it and will keep using it. I don’t know how to use the resurfacing cream that you use with the smooth puff though or when.

It burned my skin, made it greasy and oily and gave me more acne. Scam.

I LOVE it. Used for the first time today. My face feels and looks great, very smooth and soft.

I have used it three times…
It does make your skin feel soft….
But after a week I seem to see more lines in my face then before…
Not sure I should keep using it or not.
As anyone else noticed the same time or just me?

I haven’t used it yet, but have had a number of professional micodermabrasions and they always use a special moisturizer afterward. I think a key ingredient is allantoin (sp.?) which is healing and soothing. I can see that if you don’t use the proper after care that your face will be dry, after all, it is taking the top layer of skin off your face! Origins has a great line of products that would be perfect for after dermabrading the skin. It’s the Dr. Weil line. It is contains mushroom extract and other good natural ingedients that promote healing. Or, you could get something from a dermatologist, and pay a lot more. I will be getting this product this weekend, and report back on my scientific findings. By the way, I have had laser treatments as well, and spent a bunch of money that I could have used on shoes or clothes…the only one I would do again is botox! Yes, it takes that nasty angry look away from betwee the eyes…not pretty, and smoothes the skin, so you look naturally younger. I’m sorry, but there’s no cream out there that will deliver these results, and really, it’s about $200-300 and lasts about 4-5 months. The creams claiming to be as good are around $100, and don’t work, plus just think, you can wake up in the morning and and look fresh…it just makes you feel good, and I’ve done it maybe 8 x’s, and I’m still alive! I’ll report back in 2 weeks…

I recently switched to only using face creams that contain real plants, fruits and/or juices. No more chemicals for me! Chemicals in skincare products will cause your skin to sag in the long run. That’s because those chemicals don’t belong there and impact your skins elasticity.

So far the only real good product I can recommend is the 3 Berry Face Serum, from the Made from Earth product line. I found them in a Whole Foods Store and tried out a bottle and I love it. Its thick enough to moisturize deeply, but my skin really just absorbs all of it once applied, so it doesn’t have that heavy feeling. Definitely recommend it…the website says it contains real blueberries, raspberries and cranberries – I guess that makes the “3” in three berry serum….

There’s absolutely no reason not to use coupons. I’ve become very fond of them, especially lately with prices in the grocery skyrocketing. Why wouldn’t you use coupons, its like free money!

I just got one today and I must say I can totally tell the difference, I was able to do the 2-3 minutes for each area of my face and over time I can see how it could help with fine lines. So far I am really enjoying this product it’s just what I have been looking for! I must say I will have to invest in a good moisturizer though.

Hola
