As a teacher, I can understand why the principal sent the teacher home. First, by allowing the teacher to do this, it sends a message to the students that it is okay to behave in this way. My school lists a rule in our handbook that prohibits students from coloring their hair any unnatural color-it is very disrupting when someone comes to school with blue, green, or any other strange shade of hair. It is hard enough to keep order without distractions like that. Yes, school should be fun but first and foremost it is a place for learning. If anyone should be setting an example of that, it
should be a teacher.

A: The principal is an uptight, pseudo-fascist idiot?

I'd hate to think of how hard he had to bleach his hair to get it light enough for the green to take, though. I hope he bought some good conditioner at the same time ...
