My mother is 66 years old, she has been hairdressing since she was 15. She now sadly has advanced bladder cancer. Am I scared yes, I won’t ever put any chemicals on my hair again and will be trying to get compensation for my mother who was exposed to such nasty hair dyes, especially in the 60′s and 70′s.

I don’t see any link either.. I personally find it a bit silly all these redundant tests and things.

Could it be the small incidence and risk of bladder cancer is caused by something else. The other thing that is interesting is that it is male hairdressers or barbers but not females. Things that make you go hmmmm….

I came to the same conclusion you did. The chemicals tested either aren’t used in cosmetics or were banned (in the US at least) in the 1960s or 1980s. Maybe they’re still used in other countries?
