[...] People who frequently use products containing SLS or SLES can end up with chronic dry skin. While SLES doesn’t cause cancer like some rumors have stated, it still isn’t the best thing you can be putting on your skin. This is why many companies are now making sulfate-free products. Take for instance the recently introduced EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System from L’Oreal.
Unforutunately, most sulfate products are only included to produce foam. As consumers, we've become accustomed to the idea that if it foams, it 'cleans'. One can get clean without sulfates. Though, do try looking for sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa or lathanol). It is MUCH MUCH milder and still produces the bubbles we seek.

I have just recently tried sulfate free shampoo and for the first time in over 20 yrs my hair is actually growing past my shoulders and without breaking so bad that I have to cut it. I have baby fine, thin, fragile hair and it has been broken and frizzy for all these years. I'm so grateful for the hype and I don't think it's worthless at all. Now my hair is almost down to my elbows, looks great and is still growing. Thank you sulfate free advicates I'm so happy!!
