Coconut oil only helps moisturize and strengthen the hair when used as a conditioner. A good oil is Nutiva which is cold-pressed, organic extra-virgin coconut oil. The best thing you can do for your hair is to take coconut oil INTERNALLY! It is good for you! I use a couple tablespoons melted oil stirred into my daily cold yogurt. It hardens like the chocolate covering on an ice cream bar and can be addictive! That is how coconut oil will help grow your hair! Read labels. NOT all are cold pressed virgin! Refined oils are worthless. The smell bad too. A good oil should smell of coconuts, be white and taste mild. Also taking Biotin is another great thing. I take Natures Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails 5000mcg from Walgreens.com. Most of the time you can get buy one get one which saves you a lot! I have taken it for 1.5 yrs and my hair now grows very fast. I have to color the roots every two weeks! As always treat your hair gently. NO ponytails as it pulls at the roots, SEAMLESS comb that won't get caught and at least once a week coat your hair with coconut oil, plastic bag and shower cap over that all night. Wash out next morning and enjoy great hair!

I think you should check your facts before you suggest lawsuits and website closures; especially when ignorance added with confusion leads to false accusations. Don't be upset, just talking from experience and education, but Genetics does indeed play a major role in hair growth. I thought I'd eduate you a little on the 3 stages of hair and maybe you can go figure out the rest for yourself, or maybe google it or something. Hair has 3 stages the Anagen, Catagen and Telogen stage, or in layman terms the growth, resting and shedding stage. Black hair has suffered a lot as the duration of the stages were never properly studied, and most companies marketing their hair products to the black consumers doesn't really know or care much about their unique needs or phase lenghts, they just care about the billion dollar industry sucking money out of the unsuspecting individual who has no clue. When we do our own research and start marketing our own hair care remedies, then we get good results and this is why blacks are now growing healthy and well cared for hair. "Now we know we'll grow!!!"
Argan oil and olive oil is good for our black hair. With a good shampoo after a warm (microwaved) olive oil treatment for 20 minutes helps. Then apply the Argan moisturizer while the hair is still damp, and seal it with the Olive oil (extra virgin) or the Argan oil if you can afford it. And don't let them fool you with the drop of argan oil mixed with essential oils for $15.00, they've been fooling us for too long. Tell them you want the real stuff. The oil seals in moisture and if it is a good oil immediatlely the hair shaft will show in a few days, but still give it 2-3 weeks to show full improvement. I have bra strap length hair, and I have only grown it to that lenght after all my research from school and some here on the internet also. Olive oil as a hair and dry skin treatment before you shower and wash your hair, and it also helps for the dry cracked up heels and the wrinkles at the side of the eyes, if you use it overnight. Don't use too much at the sides of your eyes unless you use the eye patch, it makes your sight blurry in the morning. Remember extra virgin olive oil and Argan moisturizer and Argan oil is all you need for healthy or damaged black hair. I have been on this regimen for 17 months and I ahve the disired length I need. Most people I tell about this are sceptical until they take the time and try it for themselves. COme on now, its under $20.00 and the 3 items will last for 3 months. I'd buy the Argan shampoo too, but the real effects comes from the olive oil treatment before hair wash, and the maintenace with the moisturizer and oil working together to combat dry, brittle, damaged non growing hair. If the scalp and follicles are healthy; then hair has no choice but to grow healthy and not split eventully breaking and falling out. Oh the stages of hair loss...should I continue????

P.S ...another good trick for blacks with black heads and pimples that leave scars, try using vinegar and olive oil after exfoliating. You can exfoliate with some sand and face soap. Then add the mixture of vinegar and olive oil and let it sit on your face all night or for at least 4 hrs, then wash off. That's all I use and it works wonders. My friend uses it also and she is caucasian and it works wonders on South Asian skin just the same.

Hope I helped!
