Ridiculous Shower Suit Will Save You Time?

Mid Brain muses:

This has to be one of the goofiest fashion inventions this Beauty Brain has read in a long time.

According to this report, an Australian company has created a suit for executives that are just too busy to go to the dry cleaner.  With this special garment they can wash it while wearing it in the shower.

So let me get this straight.  People are going to wash their clothes while taking a shower?  That just sounds ridiculous.  Is it really a lot of trouble to remove your clothes to take a shower?  And wouldn’t you have to remove your clothes to allow them to dry anyway?

I’m all for reducing water & dry cleaning chemical use but this invention is just silly.  However, they’ve gotten orders for 170,000 suits in Japan.

I think Sarah needs to talk to their marketing people.  Selling 170,000 Beauty Brains books would be nice.

This reminds me of a scene from the movie Charade where Carey Grant takes a shower in his suit in front of a shocked Audrey Hepburn. I believe he says something about it saving on dry cleaning or something.

Wow I just came across your blog, and this entry really caught my attention! I can’t believe how lazy people are getting. Luckily my husband does take his clothes to the dry cleaners, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t constantly trying to get me to do it for him! I’d like to think he’d be above this shower suit, but sadly, he might think it was a great idea. Is there anything wrong with slowing down a little and actually enjoying our mornings instead of trying to do 7 things at once?

An excellent point Skincare Lady. People around the world are in such a hurry all the time. Slow down and enjoy life.

Easy to say but unless you get up before dawn, you may not have time to smell roses when you have traffic to contend with, grouchy bosses, children, and conference calls with countries across the globe! I think this invention, although seemingly silly, could indicate an unfullfilled legitimate need.
