When we sleep, our body goes into a "recovery" mode, which means any moisturizers applied to skin works much better. Sunscreen prevents moisture from penetrating the skin, therefore reduces the effects of your products. So, when you use a moisturizer at night with SPF, it works less than one without. Actually, I don’t recommend using a moisturizer with SPF at night.
