I think a big point that was missed is that it is not just 'spare parts' from animal processing that makes up these ingredients. Google 'rendering plants' and you will find that road kill, diseased animals, euthanized pets... not something that I would want to put on my skin or lips. Any product that is NOT vegan certified will contain at least one ingredient produced at a rendering plant. Vaseline Intensive Care hand creme contains no less than 9. The second ingredient listed is stearic acid. Whether an ingredient 'works' or not is not really the question, nor is it whether one eats meat.

Good article! Please keep in mind that the botanical alternative to tallow also contains healing properties whereas tallow does not.

Also, do you have an article that supports the idea they there is a way to increase collagen production in your skin? It can only be done internally but ingesting a certain combination of collagen-supporting properties: Vitamins A,C,D & E, Biotin, Zinc, Selenium, Copper, and a strong antioxidant supprt system of: alpha lipoic acid, bilbery fruit extract (25% anthocyanoside), quercitin and co-enzyme Q10.

Animal by products chemically alter our hormones. That is why we shouldn't use them. Actually, I am disturbed by this idea, slather on my hair and skin some animal fat. But I am okay with the idea of eating a piece of chicken or steak. I do usuaLLY eat it as lean as I can, but I know it's in there.

wow, I came here for information, which I do want to thank you for taking the time to do for me. I do greatly appreciate it! This is actually the 3rd time I have visited your site. I do find it quite strange that you keep bashing Arbonne. Maybe it is just that I have only visited 3 times and maybe you do bash other companies, but I just wondered why you are so against them. I have been using their products and find them to work great for me, so much so, that I have joined their company despite what I have read here. I have tried many other products that are low price range and high end and also home made products in hopes of finding something that would help combat the signs of aging that are showing up on my face. This is working for me and several people I know-- so what ever your problem is with Arbonne, please don't stop others from trying it -- If the goal is to truly support women who are trying to find good products and information, then please the good products and leave politics out of it. better to say nothing that bash a good product line.
