my skin is dry after i wash it, and gets oily and slick throughout the day. Oily skin products that dry out the skin didnt work for me, so i use aloe vera gel over vitamin E oil and my skin stays normal throughout the day now, no heavy oil production.

Hey Everyone!
Great topic!! It is definitely possible to have combination oily/dry skin.
You will find this quite often with acneaic skin.
Many estheticians and the public alike think that because someone has acne, they have oily skin. I see this all the time with Mary Kay and Arbonne reps. They will give the products that are for oily skin when in fact the rep knows NOTHING about the person skin except what they tell the rep. I have yet to find a rep who will actually give the customer the correct product for DRY skin!!!!
It would be hard to tell anyone what type of skin they have by talking online--I would need to see it under the mag light to determine.
If you think your skin does better with the products you use for dry, then continue with that.
buenos dias,
Lynnette

I agree with anon. My face is really oily throughout the day, but when I treat it with products for oily skin, it just gets worse. It's when I treat for the tightness and apparent dryness after I wash that my skin gets better and produces less oil for the rest of the day. So, what would my skin be? Oily? Dry?
