The Right Brain reports:
If you visit our site on a regular basis you may have noticed that we were out of comission for a few days this week. Contrary to popular believe, this was not because Mid Brain was being lazy. Rather, it was due to series of technical glitches, not the least of which was that the hard drive on our server crashed. I’m no expert, but I do understand that a hard drive crash is not a good thing. (And whoo boy, you should have heard the Left Brain swearing! Such language!)
Anyway we’re back up and running now so we thought we’d highlight the posts you might have missed during our black out period.
The Beauty Brains lost episodes
On Sunday when our SQL data base was corrupted, you missed Mid Brain’s scoop on Are Bacteria A Natural Cure For Odor?
We still hadn’t totally recovered on Monday when the Left Brain blogged about Yes To Carrots. Maybe it’s a good thing no one saw it, because we probably would have gotten a bunch of complaints about the disturbing carrot picture.
Things were fine until Wednesday when the server crashed. That’s when I wrote about How The Body Shop Calming Facial Cleanser Works. That’s when we learned that the some of the Beauty Brains community are science fiction fans! (This one’s for you, Mo!)
We were almost back to normal on Thursday when we published part five of our Beauty Skepticism series: What Causes What? I like this post because it teaches us how to not be so easily fooled by cosmetic advertising kind of like our post on how to not get tricked by a new sale.
The Beauty Brains bottom line
Ok, now you’re all up to speed so we return you to your regularly scheduled blogging. Just keep your fingers and toes crossed that our server doesn’t misbehave again!

LOL, I thought the Soylent Green reference was to the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. Then I Googled it & found out its a movie.
I do enjoy science fiction like The Matrix & all but this one was made before I was born.
I was going crazy thinking something’s wrong with my router but good to have the Brains back.
LOL! I thought they call the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap “Soylent Green” ‘cuz the bottle is Green. A trip to Google poved otherwise.
Good to have the brains back, I went cray checking my modem, router & firewall settings in the meantime thinking something was wrong here.
Hm…I got all 3 posts without a hitch. And I loved the carrot!
I went crazy too! I was pretty sad without my Beauty Brains fix.
Sounds like someone’s getting touchy about readers’ reactions to the images…
Thought my computer was the one playing up or I’ve been banned for some reasons. LOL.
Love the Soylent Green reference.
