The average woman spends about $50,000 USD in their lifetime on HAIR products alone. And I don't know about you guys, but I definitely spend much more on my makeup, moisturizer, etc.!

Maybe about $100-200 a month? I go in spurts, but it usually involves clothes..

I think I spend on average $250/month. That equals to about $3000 a year! Holy crap!!

I did ask my sister if it's possible for me to deduct my makeup costs on my tax since I run a beauty blog. =P She basically said I have to make it big first!

I am trans and my second year transitioning I spent $44000 trying to be beautiful! Between hair appointments trying to get the perfect color, electrolysis, facials, a whole new wardrobe, and plastic surgery it really adds up. Luckily now that has come to an end and I'm probably down to $300 a month.

I'm trying to think of what I spend to be "beautiful," and I keep coming up with zero. But I do buy nice stuff -- I love lilac and rose and jasmine oil. Do I wear iit to be "beautiful?" Not really. I wear them because I like the smell of them, but I don't think to care if anyone else does.

I also like hairsticks and hair clips -- but they don't make ME beautiful. They are beautiful themselves, which is why I like them.

It's all a strange way to think about it ...
