You might (or might not) be interested to know that Listerine mouth wash has been used by dog show people for decades as a rinse to help remove flakiness and as a dry clean/coat freshening method for harsh coated terriers or tight coated retrievers on show days. Perhaps it was this advertising that originally spurred the cross over into canine cosmetology?
