I've used conventional conditioners like Pantene and Herbal Essences, I've went thru the Salon product phase and was a long-time user of Redken, Matrix, Phyto and Alterna brands. I was ultra skeptical when I bought Jungle, but I was on a Lush kick and decided to try it. Actually, it works very well. As a rinse out the feel is different due to lack of 'cones' in the ingredients; there is no slip. But when dry my hair was soft and light. As a leave in it's even more amazing, taming my slight frizz and leaving my hair shinier than it was when I was using Biolage Shine Milk leave in. I've had my 10$ bar for about 3 months now and it's not even half gone. I think it works better than the pantene's and other drugstore brands, and it even works better than my old stand by Biolage balm. Saving money just makes it sweeter :)

wouldn't butters work best if it is left in the hair than rinsed out? Plus I think Shea butter is better for the hair as is makes the hair soft and shiny without weighing it down. Cocoa butter is too heavy for the hair especially fine hair and too greasy, thats why most people use it on their body for very dry skin!

[...] Lush Cosmetics uses a surprisingly standard primary surfactant: sodium laureth sulfate. This detergent, a close relative of sodium lauryl sulfate, or SLS, can be found in many other mass market and salon brands. Gudonya is a bit more artistic in its choice of surfactants. It’s built on a combination of high end skin care surfactants including sodium cocoyl isethionate and disodium laurylsulfosuccinate with a good slug of sorbitol and propylene glycol. But neither of these formulas contain any unusual technology that would benefit your hair. [...]
