Can I also recommend Cosmedicine Medi-Matte? I've got nothing to do with the company, but this stuff was literally like a miracle for my face. SPD 20, moisturizing *and* oil/shine control. It's pricy, but SO worth it.

It's thick so I have to let it soak in before applying makeup on top, but a little patience makes it worth while.

This is so interesting. I have oily/combination skin and I am constantly on the search for sun protection/moisturizer that would not be too much for my skin. If this Murad mattifier has science to back it up, I would love to give it a try. Thanks for this post!

Sometimes I want to reassure women -- especially young ones -- with oily skin that they'll come to love it in time. I'm wrinkling a lot less than many women my age, and I'm sure it was just the genetics of thick, "oily" Italian skin. It's a pain in the butt when you're younger, and I still wipe my face down sometimes to keep the sheen off my forehead, but overall, when I compare it to the skin of women my age who never had an oiliness "problem," I'm really glad I got what Mother Nature gave me.

Shouldn't there be a 4 brain rating for product backed up with plenty of proven science?
