If this doesn’t convince them, Moxie, I find it does help to tell them this – at least the men.

The tar from tobacco products likes to collect in soft tissues such as in the lungs and the sex organs. This causes a restriction of blood flow. The less blood flow, the bigger the problem of impotence. Which means smokers will eventually have to be on Viagra. Bob Dole takes Viagra. Do you REALLY want to have something in common with Bob Dole?

I don’t get why people smoke. It’s a proven fact that smoking not only kills the smoker, but 2nd hand – and now they’ve even proven 3rd hand – smoke kills everyone exposed to it. So you’re not only committing slow suicide, but also mass murder.

I may be fat, but at least my fat only hurts me. (Unless I trip and fall on a Smurf Village.) There’s no such thing as 2nd hand fat.

I can’t believe how many people I know who smoke. I’m only 26 but I’d say 3/4’s of my friends smoke. I wish that they’d quit, maybe this will be incentive.

@Jami – it may not make you look younger but it could certainly make you feel younger which in our eyes is much more important.

I still say in the long run divorce will make you look younger. Because you’ll be getting away from the stress of a bad, possibly abusive, marriage. And you’ll probably get some sort of plastic surgery before reentering the dating pool. LOL
