Sony Turns Cell Phones into Smell Phones

Mid Brain reports:

It’s either the coolest girly gadget EVER or a sign of the approaching apocalypse: Sony Erickson has developed a line of scented cell phones. You simply insert a fragrance strip into the phone and you can chat and sniff for up to 3 whole months. I can only wonder how sick I’d get of their “Apple Pie” fragrance after 3 months!

Cell Phone or Smell Phone, which would you prefer? Leave a comment and tell the other Beauty Brainiacs if you’d ever buy a product like this.

I think this is so retarded. Why would you want your cell phone to smell?? I mean, after all, it is a cell phone, tyo make calls, send txt, and so on, this is just innecesary. I would not buy it just for the perfume.

Berenice,
I tend to agree. But I’ve also read stories about people “petting” their cell phones because it calms them down. So, why not make that an aroma therapy experience?

Different strokes for different folks!

I feel sure I would purchase the smell phone depending on the scents. I think it is a great idea!!

Hmm…might make it easier to find when the battery is dead.

I think it’s a great idea!!! I can change scents to match my mode. Luv the idea.

I don’t even like the fact that my phone can send text messages and take pictures. Phones are for talking and nothing else. They don’t need to smell, take pictures, play music, or send annoying text messages.
