We usually blog about anti-aging technology but here’s a new gadget that actually ages you: it’s a beauty app for the iPhone that makes you look older.
It’s called “Hour Face” and it’s designed to take a picture of your face and show you how you’ll look when you’re an octagenarian – and beyond. The effect is a little bit creepy – check out the video to see for yourself.

Too creepy and depressing for my taste. I know I won’t look the same in 40 years (I’m 45 now), but I’d like to think that have a bit of control over the rate of decline (I eat well, exercise, don’t smoke and stay out of the sun). The app would be really great if it came along with a full-proof plan to prevent the inevitable. Since that’s not possible, I’ll try to do the best I can, avoid nasty chemicals in my products, leave a clean life and accept what I get in my 80s.
Stupidest. Thing. Ever. It’s just there to make women and girls hate themselves more — which they are already so addicted to that they’ll dive for it like dogs on steak.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
Problem is, that isn’t a realistic picture of what you will look like in a few decades. The human face doesn’t age exactly that way for everyone
Wow. Both models aged in the same places. How fake. And yes, let’s give women yet another reason to dislike ourselves. Maybe Apple can use male models, but we all know how few men will actually use the app.
They all frowned as they aged. Who say’s we’re all going to be unhappy when we get old? Do you get the impression this was invented by someone who hopes they die before they get old? Not me, I want to be a very happy grandma.
