Beauty Brains Beauty Blog Blast

by Mid Brain on March 19, 2010 · 9 comments

Here’s a round up of articles from some of the other beauty blogs that we found interesting.

And the Dermatology blog further explains the link between sun exposure and cancer. How much more proof do you need that you should wear sunscreen?

Wonder what it’s like to get acupuncture?  Afrobella tells about her acupuncture experience. Of course, this is more proof of the powerful placebo effect that acupuncture has. Still no good scientific evidence to back up it’s effectiveness.

Kiss & Makeup tells us about a Cheetos flavored Lip Balm. Yum?

  • And finally, you don’t want to miss the Beauty Brains article about whether sunscreen pills work.

Do you have a beauty blog that the Beauty Brains should be reading? Leave a comment below so we can add you to our RSS.

I’m glad you took a minute to reiterate that there is no scientific evidence that acupuncture works any better than a placebo!

In my blog– nononsensebeauty.wordpress.com I share my experiences with anti-aging tools and techniques and post my before and after pictures. Over the past few months I have been on Retin A ( it worked well) had laser hair removal ( it really hurt) and and removed age spots with lasers ( didn’t hurt and worked beautifully). Next I am going to tackle the dark shadows under my eyes. As I go thru the different stages, I also blog about popular cosmetic ingredients, trying to separate fact from fiction. Today my post dealt with the layering of treatment products. I hope it will provide better results as it saves money

It is tragic to learn that skin cancer has risen to 77%.

Weather is changing fast and sun exposure doubles the risk of skin cancer than it was before. Wearing sunscreen can be a better protection i believe.

Many people are misled by the misconception that loose skin is just a part of growing old say fat injection Los Angeles

Hi gals.

I have been plagued by facial hair for so long and have tried creams, electrolysis which left a black marks on my skin, waxing etc until I found this amazing little tool called Epicare. It is just a lil spring with handles on either side. I love, love, love it. It is so affordable compared to laser where there is still no guarantee that facial hair will be totally gone. For gals who are used to threading this is the perfect D.I.Y. tool. Got mine at http://www.epicarehome.com. I have been using mine for 8 months now.

Sham.
