The Beauty Brains Is A Top 50 Beauty Blog

by thebeautybrains on December 31, 2010

For those of you interested in such things, the Beauty Brains have been named as a “Top 50″ beauty blog by Spa Beauty Schools.

According to their list, we “write about what the chemicals used in cosmetics really do, how products are tested, and what all the advertising means. You can search through oodles of categories, including acne, makeup remover, and sunless tanners, and find affordable products you really like.”

Ok, we’re listed as #36 but, heck, at least they thought of us. Now all you fans of the Beauty Brains can chant  ”We’re number 36! Say it loud and proud, ladies.

What are YOUR  favorite beauty blogs (besides this one, of course!) Leave a comment and maybe we’ll start our OWN top 50 list. (That way we can be #1!)

IMO the best blogs are TheBeautyBrains, Futurederm, TheDermBlog, ColinsBeautyPages, SCforM and SkinGuru.

Honestly, since I found the Brains, I haven’t read many of the others (they sort of feel like a mindless homage to cosmetics companies). But I still love a great eye shadow and divine perfume, so I’ll stop by Blogdorf Goodman, Total Beauty, Beauty Alchemist, and A Girl’s Gotta Spa about monthly. Oh and I recently found Caring Consumer with the most extensive list of health/beauty prods who don’t test on animals.

I like EyeCream.com – they always have coupons for all top brands if you join their mailer. They also post information about ingredients and defy myths.

I love to pop over to Makeup And Beauty Blog (MUBB I think) everyday. Great photos of swatches, product and model.
