One of the best thing about blogging is how it connects people across the world. For example, Yulia, a blogger in Russia, recently interviewed us for her “Beauty Insider” blog. We thought the rest of the Beauty Brains community might enjoy reading her questions and our answers (and seeing what a Russian beauty blog looks like. Don’t worry, you can scroll down for an English translation.)

I’m reading this Yulia’s blog, well because mine is the same in Russian. And I’ve read that interview, it was very interesting. I think that Russian blogs are quite different in the manner of representing info, which often depends on the abilities of the platform. E.g. livejournal is still very popular there. However I know some very passionate blogges whom I always read.

Wow those were some great questions! I especially like the one I copied and pasted below (hope this is ok beauty brains!)
taken from http://www.beautyinsider.ru/2010/11/14/the-beauty-brains-interview/

“Which spheres of beauty science, you think, are promising? In which spheres can we wait for great discoveries?

Improvements in cosmetics are difficult because cosmetics are not allowed to interact with the body’s metabolism. This limits what can be used or accomplished. However, the most promising areas for new cosmetics would include Polymers, Nanotechnology, and Surfactants.”

So if you could make cosmetics interact with the body’s metabolism what kinds of products would we see out there? And why can’t they interact with people’s metabolisms? Would that make them a drug?
