The bitter truth about the 13th best selling beauty product on Amazon.com…

If you liked our recent post about how sucking can cause wrinkles then you’re going to love this product: Mavala Stop – a cure for thumb sucking and nail biting.

Mavala Stop Ingredients

Ethyl Acetate, Alcohol Denat.
These are the primary solvents used to dissolve the film former agents.

PVM/MA Copolymer, Phthalic Anhydride/TrimelliticAnhydride/Glycols Copolymer
These polymers create the nail polish coating.

Butyl Acetate, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Sucrose Octaacetate
These are plasticizing agents which keep the nail film flexible and prevent it from cracking.

Denatonium Benzoate
This is the active ingredient in the formula that deters you from sucking your thumb or biting your nails. Commonly known as Bitrex ™ this chemical is one of the most bitter substances on earth. Its most common use is as a denaturant for alcohol.  (It’s added to ethyl alcohol-based products, like hairspray, so people don’t drink them to get a buzz.) In the case of this product, the bitterness stops you from putting your fingers in your mouth.

Isopropyl Alcohol
Another Solvent

Benzophenone-1
This is a uV absorber added to prevent the polymers from yellowing upon exposure to light.

D&C Violet No. 2
This dye is added to counteract any yellow color that does develop. Purple and yellow cancel out each other and keep the product looking water-white.

If you have the need to stop your self or a loved one from sucking, then Mavala Stop may be the product for you! Please shop for it using the link below and help support the Beauty Brains.

Hey!
I’ve heard a lot about Dibutyl Phtalate being harmful to my health, so I’d like to known if Phthalic Anhydride share the same bad status.
Thanks a lot,
Patrícia
