We’ve been busy trying a boat load of new products so get ready for a couple of rapidfire posts about what’s in our bathroom this week.

Cristophe Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner

Based on an ingredient review, Cristophe Glossing shampoo and conditioner appear to be very capable products but I’m always skeptical of any hair care product above $10.  The shampoo is based primarily on sodium lauryl sulfate with Polyquaternium-7 and Polyquaternium-11 for some slip. The conditioner is a behentrimonium methosulfate and amodimethicone mixture which, by the way, is included on our list of ingredients we would put in the “perfect conditioner.”

I was surprised by this one because, while technically there doesn’t seem to be much special about it, Sarah Bellum tried it and said “I can’t wait to use it again.” Go figure. It’s pricey at $12 but she certainly loved it.

Skintimate Hologram

Also, today we received a sample of Skintimate shaving cream with the new holographic label. There’s no formula changes to report on but the package sure looks cool. Check it out if you’re one of those people who are really into holograms.

Even though the Beauty Brains don’t do traditional reviews, from time to time we like to share new products that we’re trying. We want you to know that we received free samples in exchange for a mention on our blog and that we’re not necessarily recommending you buy anything. We’re just sharing new product news; please do your own research before you buy.
