I’ve been trying sunless tanner samples this week: Neutrogena’s Micromist Airbrush Sunless Tan and, my current fave, Whish Body SPF 15 Self Tanner. I love the way this stuff feels going on my skin. It’s very rich and buttery and a small quarter size amount covers much more skin than I would’ve expected. I think the best thing about is the scent: the usual sunless tanner odor is masked by a great fragrance, which is a big plus for me.
Whish gives good skin color but it’s not really dark enough for my taste. Yeah, you can always apply more but at this price ($34 for 6 ounces!!) I would think they could afford a higher level of the fake bake ingredient (DHA.) Maybe the price is so high because it also contains SPF 15 which is unusual for a sunless tanner. According to Lefty, it’s kind of a waste to add such a low level of SPF because you have to reapply the stuff to get good sun protection and nobody’s going to keep putting on Self Tanner all day. But if you’re looking for a nice smelling, rich feeling self tanning lotion this may be for you (if you’ve got the bucks.)

Wow, I sure do hope the Beauty “Brains” don’t rely upon that for any sun protection. It doesn’t cover anywhere near the full UVA spectrum!
@Josh: I thought Sarah’s comment that the SPF protection in this product is “kind of a waste” made it clear that she’s NOT relying on this self tanner for sun protection.
I have trouble finding a self-tanner that is light ENOUGH to look at least somewhat natural on me. Any suggestions? Currently using Paula’s Choice but that might even be too dark.
Sorry, meant to say light enough AND affordable. This Whish stuff is not affordable for me, sadly…
