We received a rainbow of LipSoother samples to try.(Since our book is called Can You Get Hooked on Lip Balm? we feel compelled to blog about lip products once in a while!) Here’s what our reviewer had to say:
“Delicious fruity taste? Check. Pretty shimmer? Check. Smoother lips? Checka-roo. Long lasting? Could use some work. Overall I found this gloss to be a cute accessory and that it gets the job done if lips are dry or just thirsty.”
Neutrogena says this product has a “unique hydragel formula.” What’s so unique about it? As you’ll see from the first ingredient on the list below it contains a pretty good slug of polybutene. That’s unusual because some people may find polybutene a little sticky feeling compared to silicones or mineral oil/petrolatum based products. The rest of the formula balances out that stickiness in a way that really makes lips feel cool and smooth.

Even though the Beauty Brains don’t do traditional reviews, from time to time we like to share new products that we’re trying. We want you to know that we received free samples in exchange for a mention on our blog and that we’re not necessarily recommending you buy anything. We’re just sharing new product news; please do your own research before you buy.
