This is interesting. The article says that rosacea could be a reaction to a bacteria found inside the stomachs of Demodex mites, which live inside hair follicles and usually don’t cause any problems. The article says that the bacteria is released when the mites die, and some people have an immune reaction to it that causes rosacea. I wonder if that means that if a treatment were developed that killed off the mites, the rosacea would get worse before getting better?
