LASplash: In the Beauty Brains bathroom

Lefty and Righty have blogged before about how a lot of the beauty brands you know and love are really owned by larger cosmetic companies. But I like to see small businesses thrive (isn’t that where all our new jobs are supposed to be coming from?) so I was thrilled to get a sample kit in the mail from LASplash.

LASplash is brand started by Jon Davler, Inc (NOT L’Oreal, NOT P&G, NOT Unilever!) and is made here in the US. They offer a variety of high fashion/high impact color cosmetics like eyeliners, shadows, mascaras, “glitter splashes” and lip gloss.

I’ve been using the Lip Lacquer Intense Sparkle LipGloss and I love it. Application is really good. The tip is contoured so it follows the angle of the lip. I’ve never seen an applicator like this before. Plus the gloss feels really nice going on – not gooey at at. It kept my lips moist with hint of subtle color that is very appropriate for work and on the go.
