We recently had the opportunity to try two unique products from DHC that we thought you might be interested in.
DHC Cleansing Oil contains a good slug of olive oil which helps remove oily reside AND moisturize your skin at the same time. The rest of the ingredients are mild, non-ionic cleansers like the kind typically found in baby shampoos. The Velvet Skin Coat Primer is interesting because it takes full advantage of the unique properties of silicones. This one uses cyclomethicone to create a base that easily spreads the other ingredients across the skin, then it evaporates without leaving a heavy residue. The remaining silicones leave skin with a powdery dry finish. There aren’t many other ingredients that can do that (unless you want to use Monistat Bikini Chafing Gel on your face.)
DHC Cleansing Oil Ingredients
Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, pentylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, tocopherol, stearyl glycyrrhetinate, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil
Velvet Skin Coat Ingredients
Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, HDI/trimethylol hexyllactone crosspolymer, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, silica
Even though the Beauty Brains don’t do traditional reviews, from time to time we like to share new products that we’re trying. We want you to know that we received free samples in exchange for a mention on our blog and that we’re not necessarily recommending you buy anything. We’re just sharing new product news; please do your own research before you buy.

I was really interested in the DHC cleanser, so thanks for covering it. I didn’t know about the other product, and now I do.
