Surface Hair sent us a couple of interesting products to try: their Trinity Protein Cream and Bassu Hydrating oil. Both formulas have interesting features.
The Trinity Protein Cream show cases protein as the star ingredient but we’re pleased to see high levels of Behentrimonium Chloride and Quaternium-80, both of which are excellent conditioning agents. While this product is designed to be left in hair we suspect it will work pretty well as a rinse off too. The Bassu Hydrating Oil is less about oil and more about a rich blend of five (count ‘em five!) silicones: Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclotetrasiloxane, and Dimethiconol.) While these products use premium ingredients, they will cost you more: they’re priced at about $24 each.

Does the protein actually do anything?
I have been using SURFACE products for two years. This product really cleans the hair. I have gone from washing my hair every day and worked it to once a week. This shampoo keeps my hair nice and although many would not be able to go a week, you can try to go longer than daily.
You will see the difference IMMEDIATELY.
