Can you spot the TRUE story in this week’s Beauty Science Game? 4 of these facts are fake – guess the real beauty science story and leave a comment. I’ll post the answers tomorrow.

  1. Beauty breakthrough from the deep blue: Sea Cucumber extract is found to boost collagen production.
  2. McDonald’s is the latest fast food franchise to hop on the personal care products bandwagon with a line of new fragrances based on their popular shake flavors including Arctic Orange and Shamrock.
  3. Chemical manufacturers have developed a new type of sunscreen that you don’t put on your skin – you put it in the swimming pool. After swimming the chemical sticks to your skin to prevent sunburn.
  4. Bogus beauty claims may soon be a thing of the past: A new software program is being used to write more meaningful claims for cosmetics of the future.
  5. A new nail polish spiked with silver stops toenail fungus before it starts.

Have fun!

I think number 5 would be considered a drug not just “nail product” this week is tricky but I’m going with 3 because u know they have play doh perfume.

I say #2 is true. After all, Burger King had colognes that smelled like their burgers. It could be marketed to little girls. A small bottle of it could be used as a Happy Meal prize.
Bonne Bell should put those milkshake flavors into Lipsmackers, and McDonald’s could use them as Happy Meal prizes.
I know this is cynical, but wouldn’t cosmetic companies love to create brand loyalty and brand identification by giving out children’s versions of their products with Happy Meals?

If I was a kid and got a mini perfume or lip gloss I would have just loved it! I remember being 4 and loving shimmery lip smackers and pouting out my lips and say daddy see my lips!

Ah, let’s go with number one, I like to be different.

Moxie December 24, 2012 at 5:06 pm
