We just received a ”DIY Red Carpet Glam” kit sponsored by the fine folks at Rembrandt and we thought we’d give you a quick run down of the featured goodies…
Rembrandt Deeply White Toothpaste and 2 Hour Whitening Kit
We’ve blogged before about the Comfytray technology Rembrandt uses to hold the whitening gel.
Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick and Makeup Remover Towelettes
The towelettes use a combination of low foaming, non-ionic surfactants to mildly clean your face.
Aveeno Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo
As we recently pointed out, Aveeno Dry shampoo wisely uses a combination of Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate and rice starch to “dry clean” hair.
Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets
Here’s a surprising use for these handy sheets – stop sebum from burning your eyes!
Visine Maximum Redness Relief
We recently talked about how the active ingredient in Visine, tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, works.
Reach Total Care Whitening Floss
The micro-groove structure of the floss helps remove stains from coffee, tea, etc.
Band-aid Friction Block Stick
We’re so glad this is back! We raved about this back in 2008 for breaking in new shoes and haven’t seen it since then.
Listerine Pocketpaks
This one works by including some of the safe-to-swallow ingredients from the classic Listerine mouthwash.
Essies’s Ballet Slippers Nail Polish Pale Pink
This brand is one of our new favorites for it’s long lasting, non-chipping properties. That’s probably from a combination of the Nitrocellulose and Tosylamide Formaldehyde Resin.
Disclaimer (non-sassy version): Even though the Beauty Brains don’t do traditional reviews, from time to time we like to share new products that we’re trying. We want you to know that we received free samples in exchange for a mention on our blog and that we’re not necessarily recommending you buy anything. We’re just sharing new product news; please do your own research before you buy.

Sounds like a great kit with epic value for money well I know you didnt post the cost but usually kits like that offer a discount on buying all those products together you Americans get all the cool stuff everything you buy here is an arm and a leg, some things they wont even sell here, the taxes are insane and dont even get me started on online shopping. & then politicians are surprised when Canadians go across the border to shop? Please. Welcome to reality. Its a lot harder to be a makeup guru here thats why there are so few Canadian beauty blogs. http://www.vancouversun.com/business/Import+tariffs+billion+poor/7955480/story.html
