Is this cheap eye cream too good to be true?

Adelinna asks…I have been looking for a simple hydrating cream for eyes without any anti-aging ingredients. My skin is very sensitive and some of them give make my skin itch. I finally tried a cream suggested by a friend from German brand Balea. It feels very good and it is very cheap. The price make me think on whats really inside. I would be happy if you can have a look and let me know what you think. THANK YOU!

The Beauty Brains respond:

As Randy has already noted in our Forum, this Balea eye cream appears to be a good eye cream for a several reasons:

1. It contains a high level of urea (5%) which is part of skin’s natural moisturizing factor.
2. The primary oil is squalane which is very compatible with skin lipids.
3. The rest of the moisturizing ingredients are “light weight.”
4. The emulsifying ingredients (DECYL OLEATE and others) are mild and unlikely to bother your skin.

The product is very reasonably priced (about $4 for 0.5 ounces) so if you like the way it performs you should certainly keep using it.  The only problem with this product is that it’s from a company based in Germany and may be difficult to obtain here in the U.S.
