I'm 36 and battling two fronts..my "seasonal" acne (every fall and winter without fail I start getting acne, mostly whiteheads and some under the skin painful zits) always on my chin. Nowhere else, just my chin. It drives me nuts! I also have a couple fine lines and minor wrinkles I'm wanting to minimize.

I'm currently using retinol and glycolic acid alternated every night and have seen improvement in both areas. But I've been thinking about adding a vitamin C product for anti aging benefits and hoping to brighten and give my skin some "glow". But I'm confused what to buy. I recently bought a sample of "awesome sauce" from silk naturals..it's an antioxidant serum and contains "MAP" which is supposed to be a more stable (although not as effective as L-Ascorbic acid?) vitamin c source. I'm kinda meh about it. I don't feel that vitamin c tingle and I don't get that glow I have from using vitamin c products in the past. Actually I used to use one from Avon a few years ago and I looooved it. Naturally it was discontinued :/. Then I used Skin Boost from the Body Shop. It made a great primer but didn't seem to have "real" vitamin C in it, more a mix of citrus oils and fragrance.

So I'm on the hunt. Im debating between Dr.Dennis Gross Hydrapure Vitamin C skin brightening serum which has great reviews and supposedly three forms of C, I'm also looking at Cosmetic Skin Solutions CE ferulic serum, apparently an exact dupe for the Skinceuticals serum? Which would you recommend? Or is there an even better option I should consider? I want something that's going to give my pale, tired complexion a nice healthy boost and hopefully aide in wrinkles and acne issues. Can you help? Thanks in advance!

I know I should use the vitamin C during the day and my retinol/glycolic acid at night but would I be able to use my Regenerist Daily Regenerating serum along with the vitamin C product?. If so, My guess would be I'd apply the C product first, wait 10 minutes and then add the Regenerist serum? Will the Niacinamide in the Regenerist be ok with the vitamin C? I just want to make sure the two products would be compatible. Sorry, I know I'm asking a lot here lol. I really am wanting to learn how different ingredients interact on the skin and which I need to avoid mixing for optimal results. Thanks!

Hello, I have recently noticed that my eye shadows are creasing like crazy, like 3.5 years ago before I started using primers. I used MAC paintpot in painterly for those 3.5 years and the last pot is probably 1.5 years old, but hasn't dried up yet and is still very creamy consistency. I switched to the sample of Urban Decay Primer potion and that creased as well. I have very oily lids and eyeshadow creases after 3-4 hours. I'm not sure what to do. I tried not moisturising my eye area and not putting sunscreen to see if it makes a difference, but it was exact same creasing result. I should mention I powder my lids with a light dusting of chanel loose powder. I googled the phenomenon and found a post from a girl experiencing the exact same thing - she get immune to the primer after awhile http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/immune-eye-primer Any explanation and advice? The UDPP is also 1.5-2 years old most probably... don't think it could be the age of the product, as the first paintpot I had lasted me over 2 years and never creased.

The second ingredient ends in "cross polymer" so that concerns me (also because it's most abundant!) but it doesn't end in "cone".... but there may be more than one type of silicone I don't know about it or maybe they got sneaky and listed it differently since evidently companies can get away with that (for shame!)

Any thoughts?

Here's the ingredient list:

aqua (water, eau), sodium bis-hydroxyethylglycinate coco-glucosides crosspolymer, sodium cocoyl alaninate, glycerin, disodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium lauroyl lactylate, oryza sativa (rice) extract, adansonia digitata oil, theobroma grandiflorum seed butter, origanum vulgare leaf oil, thymus vulgaris (thyme) oil, hydrolyzed jojoba protein, arginine, sodium cocoyl hydrolyzed soy protein, sodium polyaspartate, parfum (fragrance), xanthan gum, sodium cocoyl glutamate, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, lauryl lactyl lactate, sodium chloride, lactic acid, leuconostoc ferment filtrate, ascorbic acid, citric acid, potassium sorbate.

I have not long had micro loop hair extensions. Spent a lot of money on buying the best; mongolian, double drawn, custom blend colour, 100% remy, and cuticle intact hair. (phew that was a mouth full) The condition part i have no problem with, i always avoid the rings and keep my deep treatements for every other wash. The shampoo they sold me is labelled gentle but my scalp isnt feeling the love. It has become sore and irritated after using the shampoo. Every time i ask what other types of shampoo i can use they just refer back to their brand. please help!! i know i cant use silicones on the rings but there has got to be some other way of moisturising my scalp and hair. Please help! :)
